Nancy Goff

Founder, Principal

Ms. Goff is a public health enthusiast with over 15 years of experience in the field. She started her career working with veterans in a primary care clinic, and quickly realized that many of the health issues they experienced could not be solved by medical care, no matter how high quality. Since then she has dedicated her career to making small shifts in the large systems that create health. She does this through bringing together diverse partners- governments, academics, nonprofits and businesses- that play a role. She has done this work at government agencies and nonprofit organizations, and as a consultant, at the local, state, national and international levels.

Through diverse roles, Ms. Goff has gained experience in stakeholder and community engagement; measuring impact; implementing evidence-based policy, systems and environmental change strategies; building public health workforce capacity; national and state policy development and analysis; grants management; organizational development; strategic planning; and program management. She has provided technical assistance to over a dozen of public health teams around the country on these topics, served as a subject matter expert in Health in All Policies and Health Impact Assessment on various national committees, and has presented her work at many national and state conferences.

Some prior roles included:

  • Environmental Health Policy Director, Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO)

  • Director, Society of Practitioners of Health Impact Assessment (SOPHIA)

  • Health Systems Policy Specialist, Oregon Health Authority

Ms. Goff is most interested in strategy and people: how people make big changes by pursuing the right strategies in partnership with others. She aims to bring deep listening, compassion, integrity and joy to this work.

Ms. Goff received her Masters in Public Health from Portland State University with a concentration in sustainability, and her Bachelors in Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. A native New Yorker, Ms. Goff resides in Oregon with her husband and two young sons.
